Our Values

  1. We believe the Bible is the Word of God, and through the Holy Spirit, its teaching is the instrument for transformation, in individual lives, in the church, and in the community. This includes the concept of teaching for life change(Rom. 12:7; 2Tim. 3:16-17; James 1:23-25)
  2. We believe that prayer, is an essential tool to train us in becoming a clear reflection of God's glory. This includes the concepts of devotional time with God and seeking his leading for all of life. (Matt. 7:7-8, Jer. 29:12, Ps. 145:18-19)
  3. We believe that all people, including those who do not know Christ, matter to God and therefore must matter to the church. This concept includes relational evangelism and evangelism as a process. (Luke 5:30-32, Luke 15, Matt. 18:14)
  4. We believe that all the ministries of the church should be culturally relevant, while remaining doctrinally pure. This includes the concept of sensitivity relating to our culture through our facility, printed materials, ministries, and worship. (1 Cor. 9:19-23)
  5. We believe that Christ-followers should live an authentic God honouring life and yearn for continuous spiritual growth. This includes the concepts of personal authenticity, character, and wholeness. (Eph. 4:25-26,32, Heb. 12:1, Phil. 1:6, 2:1-11)
  6. We believe that a church should operate as a unified community of servants with men and women using their spiritual gifts. This includes the concepts of unity, servanthood, spiritual gifts, and ministry callings. (1 Cor. 12,14, Rom. 12, Eph. 4, Ps 133:1)
  7. We believe that loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. This includes the concepts of love driven ministries accomplished in teams and relationship building. (1 Cor. 13, Neh. 3, Luke 10:1, John 13:34-35)
  8. We believe that excellence honours God and inspires people. This includes the concepts of evaluation and critical review to give God your very best. (Col. 3:17, Mal. 1:6-14, Prov. 27:17)
  9. We believe in the Reformed world view which teaches us that our covenental God is Lord over all areas of life and calls us to reflect His glory and transform our world. This includes the concept of home, school and workplace. (2 Cor. 5:20, Eph. 6:5-9, Rom. 12)
  10. We believe that we are in spiritual training and that every believer must be equipped for service.
